Harjo’s virtual visit occurs in partnership with area schools, local arts and culture organizations, including lead sponsor Amherst Glebe Arts Response (AGAR), the Amherst County Public Schools, the Amherst County Public Library, the Monacan Cultural Foundation, Central Virginia Community College and Sweet Briar College.

This is a hybrid event with options for both in-person and virtual attendance. Registration is required. Please choose the correct registration form depending on whether you plan to attend in person or virtually.

  2. If you'd like to watch Joy Harjo's presentation in person, you are invited to gather at Sweet Briar. The presentation will take place in the 1948 Theatre, located in the Fitness and Athletics Center. Please note that in-person guests to the College are required to wear a mask. To register to attend in person, please complete the registration below. Please note: If you need mobility assistance, please include your phone number so that someone may coordinate with you.
