Sweet Briar College will be hosting a forum Celebrating Women in Agriculture! The main event begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Wailes Center, but there are options for a campus agriculture tour at 3 p.m. and informal networking at 4 p.m.
Starting at 4:30 p.m. in Wailes, there will be a welcome from campus leaders and Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Matthew Lohr; a plenary with Heidi L. Hertz, principal at Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies; and a panel including Natalia Zappernick, director of horticulture at Babylon Micro-Farms; Muriel Forrest, barn owner and trainer of Wheatland Farms; and Dr. Jessica Walters, program manager for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. A reception will follow.
